Massachusetts Association of Healthcare Quality (MAHQ)

Leadership Duties & Responsibilities


  • Presides over all organization functions.
  • Sets goals and objectives of the organization for the year.
  • Appoints Committee Chairpersons.
  • Maintains communication with NAHQ.


  • Assists the President in the performance of duties.
  • Coordinates the Outstanding Member of the Year award.
  • Coordinates National Healthcare Quality Week activities.

TREASURER (two year term)

  • Maintains an accurate and complete record of the financial status of the organization.
  • Submits Public Charities and tax reports annually.
  • Serves as an ex-officio member of the Finance Committee.


  • Serves as a voting member of the Board.
  • Carries out duties as assigned by the President.
  • Serves as a member of Committees as assigned.
  • Solicits issues and comments from the membership for consideration by the board, and disseminates information back to the membership.
